1. In short

We collect only what we need to run OneChess: your account, your games, and payments if you buy something.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for gambling or cash-out.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

2. What we collect, and why

Here is what we may collect, in plain words:

• Account: username, password (stored as a hash), email, and mobile number if you add them. We use this to create your account and sign you in.
• Google or Apple sign-in: your name, email, and a sign-in ID from Google or Apple. We use this only to log you in.
• Profile: display name, country, photo or avatar, and settings you choose.
• Gameplay: moves, results, ratings, puzzles, rooms, tournaments, points, and coin or ticket activity. We use this to run matches, leaderboards, and Fair Play.
• Chat: messages you send in rooms, so other players can see them and we can keep the game safe.
• Tickets / MEMBER pass: name, mobile, email, and optional FIDE or AICF numbers you type for an offline event pass.
• Payments: order IDs and payment status from UPI, Razorpay, Paytm, Stripe, or Google Play Billing. We do not store your full card number or UPI PIN.
• Device and logs: IP address, browser or app type, and server logs. We use this for security, bugs, and abuse prevention.
• On your device: login token, guest name, and settings saved locally so the app remembers you.

3. How we use it

We use this information to:

• Let you sign in and keep your account.
• Run ranked games, puzzles, coach, rooms, tournaments, and analysis.
• Show ratings and leaderboards to other players.
• Process website or Play Store purchases and Premium.
• Issue MEMBER tickets for offline events.
• Stop cheating, spam, fraud, and abuse.
• Fix problems and reply to support.
• Meet the law.

4. Who can see it

Other players can see your username, rating, and public profile. They can see chat you send in a room.

We share data with companies that help us run OneChess, such as hosting, email or WhatsApp OTP, and payment providers. They may use it only to provide their service.

We may share data if the law requires it, or to keep players and OneChess safe.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and game data while your account is open, and for a reasonable time after that for backups, security, and the law.

We keep chat for a limited time unless we need it longer for a safety review.

If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data. We may keep anonymous totals for analytics, or records the law says we must keep.

6. Your choices

You can edit profile and settings in the app.

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@onechess.in.

The fastest way to request deletion is https://onechess.in/data-deletion.html. Email us from the email on your account. Include your username. We usually finish within 30 days.

If you live in the EU, UK, or India, you may have extra rights to access, move, limit, or object to some uses of your data.

7. Children

OneChess is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you think a child under 13 created an account, email us. We will delete it.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and limited server access.

No internet service is perfectly safe. Use a strong password and do not share it.
